UNICOMP Technology and YXLON International have announced their cooperation in the China market to take the digital radioscopic inline X-ray inspection of cast parts to the next level. With the integration of Yxlon’s fully automatic defect recognition software (ADR) ‘TrueInspect’, the era of error-prone inspection decisions by human operators belongs to the past. Starting with the 2D x-ray inspection system UNZ225A1S, Unicomp will offer Yxlon’s powerful, field-proven ‘TrueInspect Server’ solution as part of their state-of-the-art inline systems to further increase cost-effectivity and the reliability of the customers’ inspection results.
ADR has become a must for quality assurance in today‘s production processes. The TrueInspect Server offers automatic defect recognition and can easily be added to the x-ray system in the production line. Once set up for the part via its versatile teaching user interface, upon reception of x-ray images, TrueInspect automatically performs its objective evaluation. After the analysis, the server returns the OK/not-OK decision plus detailed information on all defects or anomalies found. The result is the maximum reliability of inspection decisions and a clear reduction of superfluous costs by eliminating the necessity of visual reviews plus decreasing the false reject rate down to a minimum.
